Our Story
We started Smiha from our own cramped apartment balcony, staring at a sad collection of dying plants and wondering why gardening felt so impossible in the city.
Turns out, we weren't alone. Urban homes have unique challenges - weird lighting, limited space, and busy schedules that don't accommodate high-maintenance plants. Traditional nurseries didn't seem to get this. They'd sell you anything, whether it worked for your space or not.
So we decided to do things differently. We're bootstrapped plant enthusiasts who've learned through countless failures what actually works in small urban spaces. We curate, not just sell. Every plant we recommend has survived our own apartment tests first.
Along the way, we discovered incredible local artisans creating beautiful, sustainable products that deserved a platform. Supporting them became part of our mission - their handcrafted, eco-friendly creations now feature in our accessories and gift collections.
What started as solving our own plant problems has grown into something bigger - helping fellow city dwellers create their own green escapes while supporting the skilled hands that make it all more beautiful.
